About this Project:

As the cool months approach, cozy up with our Cinnamon Orange Spice DIY Candle! Infused with BlueHenry Dehydrated Oranges and Blood Oranges, this candle combines the warm, comforting scents of cinnamon and citrus for the perfect autumn ambiance.

Items Needed:

  • BlueHenry Dehydrated Oranges
  • BlueHenry Dehydrated Blood Oranges
  • Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 lb. Soy Wax
  • 0.4 oz Cinnamon Vanilla essential oil
  • 0.4 oz Orange essential oil

Tools:

  • Glass jar (16 oz)
  • Saucepan
  • Stirring spoon
  • Candle Wick
  • Glue Dots

Instructions:

  1. Melt soy wax in a saucepan over low to medium heat.
  2. While the wax is melting, glue the candle wick to the bottom of your candle jar.
  3. Remove the melted wax from heat, let it cool to around 160°F, then stir in the cinnamon vanilla and orange essential oils.
  4.  Allow the wax to cool around 150°F and then carefully pour the wax into your jar. Center the wick using a wick-centering tool, or you can wrap the end around a pencil and lay it horizontally across the top center of the jar. Arrange the Dehydrated Oranges and Blood Oranges around the jar for a festive touch.
  5. Allow the wax to harden completely, then trim the wick to 1/4 inch.
